Ok, I went and bought a demo disc, thinking it would save me time... I was wrong. I still have to download the maps, like Ascalon and I am getting nearly no progress at all. What is the point of the disc if I can't even get the maps ALREADY on the disc? Whos idea was this?

Does anyone know why there is no maps on the disc? and how long it takes to download ascalon (on a crappy 56K that runs like a 26K).

The maps aren't on the disc becuase this way they can change them whenever they want and in beta that is quite often. Many of the maps are different from when the preorder package was release last October. It'll probably take a few hours to download the content but once it's downloaded it'll load faster every time after that.

Yeah, they keep being changed and upgraded, so you nearly always have to get some files.
